I am so excited to begin my career in teaching at Cottage Hill and am looking forward to a memorable year!
In 2015, I graduated from Sacramento State University with my bachelor's degree in Child Development. During that time, I enjoyed teaching in a before/after school program in Rocklin, CA (where I grew up). Soon after graduating, I gained experience working as a substitute assistant teacher for special education in Placer County. A year later, I made the bold choice to move to Southern California to continue my schooling at UC Irvine. I just completed my teaching credential and master's of arts in teaching this summer, after having the pleasure of student teaching in a second grade class and a fifth grade class.
While I loved the beaches of the southern coast, my family, my homesickness, and my incredibly encouraging fiancé brought me back up to Northern California. I enjoy spending time with my family, which is continuously growing! My brother and his wife just had their first child (making me a first time auntie!), while my sister and her soon-to-be husband are expecting their first child in February. My fiancé and I are to be married in May, 2018. We enjoy spending our time visiting family, practicing our archery skills, playing video games, and spoiling our kitty Luna.
As a first year teacher, I am beyond grateful to join this incredible team and cannot wait to meet everyone in the community!
