Reading is truly fundamental!

It's book fair time! Time to celebrate the importance of reading. Why is this so important? Because reading for fun is a chance for children to strengthen their reading skills. Kids are sent to practice so they can improve skills like soccer dance, self-defense, and music. So why not reading? The fact is reading is the most important skill a child can learn. Children with good reading skills will be more successful in school and in life. Doesn't it make sense that if we want children to become good at reading they need to practice reading? That's where our Scholastic Book Fair comes in. The book fair makes reading fun. Giving kids the opportunity to find and choose the books they want to read. When children choose their books they're much more likely to finish them and this, of course, results in more reading practice which leads to improved reading skills. Educators know the kids would good reading skills develop expanded vocabularies, a greater knowledge of the world, and stronger thinking skills. We hope you'll support our book fair and help your children build a collection of books at home that they can read alone or share with you. Your participation also helps get more books into our school and classroom libraries for all kids to enjoy. We thank you in advance for your support
