What will happen:
  • Every evening, you will receive an email with any updates from your subscribed pages.

  • If you have 3 children from either Cottage Hill or Magnolia AND you have subscribed to the school and teacher pages, you will receive one email that contains all of the updates.   The goal is to make communication easy for our parents as they could be getting information from two schools and 5 teachers, all in one concise email.

Lost and Found

There is way more "lost" than "found" here in our MPR...  If you are missing clothing or jackets, lunch boxes or water bottles, hats or gloves, PLEASE go through the lost and found and claim what is yours.  This will take awhile because there is so much...  If it's not raining we set it outside for the kids to look at, but the collection is not shrinking!  All items will be donated at 1:00 on December 16th.  Thank you!

Harvest of the Month

Tomorrow's Harvest of the Month is POMEGRANATES!  The students will learn about this wonder fruit and get to taste it's juicy seeds.  Check out the Cottage Hill website for fun facts about POMEGRANATES!

Clothing Drive/Donation

Cottage Hill is collecting gently used clothing to donate to an organization called Schoola.  We can collect clothes, coats, accessories, shoes, and handbags.  Schoola donates the clothing to charities, then makes a cash donation to our school.  Our first clothing drive will be December 5-16.  Clean out those closets before the holidays!

Got Concrete?

We are hoping to create a special place on our playground called the Friendship Triangle.  Currently it is the barren triangle behind the backstop!  Our PTC has purchased a Buddy Bench for the area, and we would like to pour concrete (smooth or exposed aggregate) to create a more defined area where our students can go to find a friend/be a friend.  If you can help with materials and/or labor, call the office!  

Catalog/Cookie Dough Orders

The catalog and cookie dough orders will be delivered on Monday, November 28th.  Please plan on picking up your orders between 2:00-5:30 in the MPR.  Thank you for supporting our Student Council!  

Upcoming Events:

Tomorrow night is FAMILY MATH/SCIENCE/MUSIC NIGHT! Come one, come all!  Bring the whole crowd, a pencil, and metal spoon at 6:30.
 
Kids Can Food Drive ends this Friday, November 18.  Bring canned/boxed food to school to help the hungry in our community.
 
This Friday is also a minimum day - school is out at 12:00 noon.
 
This Friday is also Pajama Day!  Our students earned a spirit day of their choice for improving their attendance over the past 5 weeks.
 
All Lost and Found items will be donated to "Schoola" on November 23.  Please check for any items your child may have left behind...  
 
Yes, we DO have school next week on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday!  
 
Preschool Break is next week, November 21-25.
 
Report Cards will go home with students next week, Wednesday, Nov 23.  
 
Wednesday before Thanksgiving is another minimum day.

Family Math/Science/Music Night

Don't miss out on the fun!  Bring the WHOLE family to the Family Math/Science/Music Night next Tuesday from 6:30-8:00!  Bring a pencil and a metal spoon, and we provide all the rest of the materials to build a real musical instrument and play Chinese Dragon Dance Rhythms.  This exciting event is sponsored by our Cottage Hill PTC.

Band Schedule

Reminder:  The band schedule changes today...  Woodwinds will attend on Mondays and Wednesdays and Brass will attend on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Times remain the same.

Family Math/Science/Music Night

Bring the whole family on November 15th from 6:30-8:00 for Family Math/Science/Music Night!  Phil Tulga will be presenting, and everyone will create their own musical instrument.  Bring one pencil and a metal spoon for each person attending.  Family Night is a FREE event, sponsored by our Cottage Hill PTC!

Food Drive Begins Today!

We are collecting canned and boxed food for the Kids Can Food Drive, now through November 18.  Please send your nonperishable food donations to school.  All donations go to help hungry families in our local area.  Thank you!

FFFN - Time Correction!

The FALL FAMILY FUN NIGHT this Friday is from 6:00-8:00 (incorrectly advertised earlier this week as starting at 6:30...)  Sorry for any confusion!
 
It is not too late to send in bags of wrapped candy for the trick or treating, and/or baked good for the Cake Walk!
