Updates From Cottage Hill

The AR Movie Party was a great success!  All students who met their AR reading goal were invited to attend a movie with Mrs. Montero in the library.  The new trimester has begun, and students are now working on meeting their second trimester goal!

Please check the Lost and Found for items left at school.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

A Shade Cover is Coming!

Our PTC led us in a highly successfully Jogathon fund raiser this year, and enough money was raised to fund the long-awaited shade structure project on the playground!  The cover will be installed later this year over the concrete picnic tables on the playground.  We are very excited about this project, and extremely grateful to our parents and PTC for raising the funds to complete it.  Once we have photographs and drawings available, we will proudly display them for all to see!

Friday Fun!!

Don't miss out on all the fun!!  This Friday is our Halloween Parade at 8:30...  Many classes will be holding parties in the classrooms sometime during the day...  School is out an 1:00 (as usual for a Friday)...  AND

Fall Family Fun Night starts at 6:30!  Maria's Taco Truck will be here, with tables outside the MPR.  Bear River drama department will be running their Haunted House in the MPR ($2.00 each or $5.00/family) and classrooms will be open for safe trick or treating.

Classes will be collecting wrapped candy until Friday afternoon.

We hope to see everyone there!!

Just Say No - Wear Red!

Tomorrow we will be showing our commitment to being drug free by wearing red to school!  Wear a little or wear a lot - Cottage Hill cubs say NO to drugs!

Halloween Parade

Cottage Hill will be celebrating Halloween this Friday, October 30th, with a Parade on the playground at 8:30.  Students are invited to dress up in their costumes and walk with their class.  Please be sure that all costumes are school-appropriate: no blood or gore and no weapons.  Yes...  a light saber is a weapon...  Please leave masks at home, and any fragile props that might get damaged during the day.  We would hate for anyone's costume to be spoiled before the actual night of trick or treating!

Friday night our students and families are invited to attend Fall Family Fun Night, a PTC sponsored safe trick or treating event.  There will be a Haunted House in the MPR, Maria's Taco's will be parked out in front of the school, and classroom doors will be open for trick or treating.  Come in your costume and enjoy the evening from 6:30-8:00!

Fall Family Fun Night

Good Afternoon Families of Cottage Hill Elementary!

Fall Family Fun Night is approaching fast!  It will take place on Friday, October 30, 2015 from 6:30pm - 8:00pm. Children will be able to participate in Safe Trick or Treating. There will also be a Haunted House available for $2 each or $5 for a family of 4. Maria's Taco Truck will be available for dinner from 6-8pm.

We are now collecting candy for the candy drive that will take place during the week of October 19-23. The final week for candy collection October 26-30.

You can help us ensure a successful event by contributing individually wrapped candies and delivering them to your child's classroom between October 5th and October 30th. Candy will be collected and weighed each Friday afternoon. Each classroom will compete for the most candy collect by weight. The classroom with the most weight will win a pizza party!
