Welcome to Ms. Bartholome's 5th Grade

Hello and welcome to the 2021/2022 school year! My name is Ms. Bartholome and I will be teaching 5th grade this year. I am so excited to be on campus, interacting with all the wonderful Cottage Hill Elementary school students. After the last year we've had I know that we are all ready for our students to be in class learning with their peers full time. 

 

A little bit about me:

My family and I moved to the area last year and absolutely love the community! I finished out the last school year teaching 8th-grade distance learning at Magnolia Intermediate School. That glimpse into middle school gave me a better idea of how to prepare my students. I truly believe we have one of the best districts around. 

 

My son also attends Cottage Hill Elementary so I am a teacher and a parent this year! When I am not at school I enjoy cooking, reading, and all things sports. We enjoy traveling on the weekend and exploring the area.

Fun fact: We lived in Germany for two years! 

 

My Education:

I was a part of the Animal Science program at California State Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo for two years before transferring to Arizona State University to be a part of their Education program. I then went on to complete my Masters of Education and California Teaching Credential at Azusa Pacific University. I believe my blended background gives me a unique perspective in the classroom. 

 

I value hands-on learning and meeting the student where they are. I like to incorporate fun learning activities while immersing students in a rigorous curriculum. I think this helps every learner reach their potential.
