TK UPDATES AND REMINDERS

Pajama Day – This Wednesday!
Your child is welcome to wear their coziest pajamas and bring along their favorite stuffed animal. Our class has filled the candy jar by showing excellent behavior, great listening skills, and kindness toward others—what a wonderful way to celebrate!

Jog-A-Thon – This Friday

  • Time: 8:00–8:45 a.m.

  • Volunteers Needed: I still need 2 parent helpers. Younger siblings are welcome to join you, and of course, all parents are invited to come cheer on our athletes!

  • Donations: To qualify for individual and class prizes, donations are due by Friday, 9/19. Please use the envelope sent home or the online portal. (Donations will still be accepted after this date, but they won’t count toward prizes.)

Thank you so much for supporting this important PTC fundraiser—the biggest of the year! Your generosity makes wonderful experiences possible for our students. Just last Friday, we enjoyed a Wild Things assembly sponsored by PTC, where students were able to see amazing animals up close—even a capybara!

What We’re Learning – The Alphabet
This week we are beginning our alphabet journey! I encourage you to ask your child about our letter of the week—what it looks like and what sound it makes. We’ll be learning letters in a sequence that starts with straight, then curved, and finally slanted lines.

  • Identify and trace first name
  • Begin to distinguish between letters, numbers and words

Math

  • Count to 10
  • Work with number 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5

AMP (art-movement-PE)

  • We will miss due to the Jog-A-Thon this week

September SEL (social-emotion learning)

  • Practice taking turns, sharing, learning routines and rules.
Please send in library books by Tuesday - Your student must return in order to check out a new one.
