TK UPDATES AND REMINDERS

Monster Week Fun!
We’re excited for a fun week in TK as we focus on Letter Mm! We’ll be exploring the letter sound, practicing letter formation, and connecting Mm words through stories, songs, and hands-on activities.

  • Tuesday (3/17): Wear green for St. Patrick’s Day 🍀

  • Wednesday (3/18): Monster Dress-Up Day! Students can come dressed as a friendly monster—think a fun monster t-shirt, “monster hair,” or a little light monster face makeup (simple and comfortable for school).

Thank you to our families who have volunteered and sent in classroom supplies—we truly appreciate your support in making TK engaging and fun for our students!

Literacy

  • Letter of the week: Ll, Ff, Ee, Hh, Ii, Uu, Cc, Oo, Gg, Qq, Ss, Jj, Dd, Vv, Pp, Aa, Bb, Kk, Rr, Mm
  • Identify beginning sounds and rhyming words
  • Distinguish between letters, numbers and words

Math

  • Count to 20
  • Work with numbers 1 - 10
  • Recognize and create patterns

  • Celebrating success, asking permission, participating appropriately and staying on task
  • Problem solving, manners, being flexible, accepting "no"
  • Communicating, expected behavior, think before you speak and peer pressure

  • Personal space, apologizing, and asking for help
  • Following directions, being a good friend, impulse control and voice volume
  • Practice taking turns, sharing, learning routines and rules.
