Valentine’s Day Celebration: Thursday, February 12

We will be celebrating Valentine’s Day on Thursday, February 12th. Mrs. Vigil will be making cookies, and we will play Valentine’s Day bingo and create a Valentine craft.

Valentine Cards (Optional)

We have 20 students. Please send them in as soon as possible. The bags will be closed and sent home for you to open with your child.

No School Reminder

There is no school Friday, February 13 or Monday, February 16.

  • Letter of the week: Ll, Ff, Ee, Hh, Ii, Uu, Cc, Oo, Gg, Qq, Ss, Jj, Dd, Vv, Pp
  • Identify beginning sounds and rhyming words
  • Distinguish between letters, numbers and words

Math

  • Count to 20
  • Work with number 1 - 10
  • Recognize and create patterns 
AMP (art-music/movement-PE)
  • No AMP this week due to the holiday
February SEL (social-emotion learning)
  • Problem solving, manners, being flexible, accepting "no"
  • Communicating, expected behavior, think before you speak and peer pressure
  • Compromising, respecting others, eye contact and identifying feeling
  • Personal space, apologizing, and asking for help
  • Following directions, being a good friend, impulse control and voice volume
  • Practice taking turns, sharing, learning routines and rules.
 
Please send in library books by Tuesday - Your student must return in order to check out a new one.
