We will learn so much this year.  So sit back, hold on to your hats, and be ready for an awesome year in 3rd/4th grade!

Gold Dust or Bust

The Cottage Hill 4th Grade classes will perform Gold Dust or Bust on Thursday, May 31 at 6:30 PM in our multipurpose room.  Students should be in their classrooms at 6:15 PM.

Students should wear clothing that reflects the gold mining era.  They could wear jeans, plaid shirts, plain (no writing or graphics) white, blue, red tshirts, skirts or dresses.  Please do not wear any hats. However, bandanas may be worn.

Please let your teacher know if you have any questions.  We look forward to sharing this performance with you!

The Fourth Grade Teachers

Thank YOU!

I am feeling super appreciated!  Thank you for the cards, the flowers and the gifts.  Thanks also for the wonderful birthday wishes!  Another year older!

Thank you!

Thank you so all of the parents who came on our field trip to Coloma!  It was a fantastic day!

Coloma Fieldtrip is next Wednesday, April 25th!

Several of our parents have signed up to chaperone our Coloma field trip.  Please confirm with me that you are coming so that I can put my groups together.  The weather looks fabulous for our day!  Please remember to send your kiddos with a sack lunch, water, comfortable walking shoes and layers as it might be cool in the morning.  This is my favorite field trip of the year!  I am looking forward to enjoying the day with you!

Open House and In Concert

It was such a joy to see all of the smiles at Open House. Thank you so much for supporting your children and enjoying their enthusiasm as they showed off all of their work!

The 3rd graders will attend the In Concert concert on Monday.  Please have your kiddo dressed appropriately for a concert.

It is hard to believe that we only have 36 days of school left!  Where did the school year go?  Thank you for an amazing year so far.  I feel so lucky to have experienced this combo class with all of these great kids and families!

Just a quick reminder that there is no school on April 23rd as we have a professional development day.

Happy Friday!
Tina

I Search Boards

The students have been doing an amazing job on their presentations!  I have learned so much California history from them and can't wait to visit some of the places that I have never been!

3rd graders are going on their rescheduled Farm Field trip tomorrow, Tuesday, April 10th. Please have them wear shoes that can get muddy and dress in layers.  They will be back by lunch time.

Field trip on Wednesday

We are going on our field trip to the Maidu Museum on Wednesday.  We will be indoors and outdoors on a hike.  Please have your kiddos dress accordingly!  Please also make sure they bring their lunch in a brown paper bag!  Let's hope for no rain!

We are writing autobiographies!

Your kiddos should have brought home a paper asking you to tell them about when they were babies and a story about their childhood.  This paper should just have notes on it and should not be written in paragraph form (we are doing that in class).  Please help them fill out this form and return it to school by Tuesday when we will begin our writing.  Thanks for your support.  I have attached another copy in case the paper never made it home...

Thank You!

Wow!  I am feeling the love!  Thank you all so much for the gifts on this Valentine's Day!  Enjoy the evening with your family!
