Happy New Year! The PTC thanks every individual who took the time and care to sponsor a student or family, shop and beautifully wrap their gifts for the Giving Tree this past holiday. Twelve Cottage Hill families benefited thanks to your generosity! With your help we look forward to continuing to serve our students and school community in the new year!
Welcome back from Winter Break Cottage Hill families. The next PTC meeting will take place on Wednesday, January 9th at 12:30 pm in Room 17. We will hear outcomes from Mistletoe Mall and assess/discuss the possibility of a mid-year contribution to the school. Exciting! Please join us!
When we return from break, PTC will be collecting wrapping paper rolls and gently used gift bags. We will be looking for new or partially used wrapping paper on the roll and any new or used-but-in-good condition gift bags that you don't feel like storing for a year. We will use it for our 2019 Mistletoe Mall. So as you're cleaning up after your celebration, please consider keeping any of these items and donating them in January!

Band Schedule Update!
When we come back from break, Band will meet on the following schedule...
Monday: Woodwinds
Tuesday: Full Band (everyone)
Wednesday: Brass
Thursday: (Full Band)
Friday: No Band
The Elementary School Band Concert will be January 17 at 6:30 in the MPR.
This Friday, December 21st, is a MINIMUM DAY at Cottage Hill. School dismisses at 12:00 noon that day.
We will be on Winter Break starting Monday, December 24 though Friday, January 4th and the school office will be closed. Happy Holidays!
Monday, January 7 is a Professional Development Day. There is no school for students, but teachers will be in trainings and the office will be open.
School resumes as usual on Tuesday, January 8th.

Our lost and found is overflowing! Please take a few minutes to walk past the stage in the MPR where all the coats and jackets are spread out. Everything will be donated at the end of the day on Friday... Thank you!
Cocoa for Camp Fire!
Our CH Student Council will be selling hot cocoa each morning this week for $1. All proceeds go to United Way to help victims of the Camp Fire in Paradise and the surrounding communities.
PTC & The Mistletoe Mall Committee want to say "THANK YOU" to all of our Cottage Hill families! You have again made this event a great success. Thank you to those that donated everything from paper grocery bags, items to sell, money towards our scholarship program and your time to volunteer!
Because of all of you and your holiday spirit:
- We collected more than enough bags to use for all the shoppers!
- So many families checked the box to donate the change from their students shopping, that we covered our entire scholarship fund for the year!
- We had so many volunteers we got every class through smoothly!
- We had so much fun helping the kids shop for their family and friends!
- We are already excited and thinking about next year! We have decided to have a collection in January, for any extra wrapping paper and gently used gift bags. So hang on to those this year! These collections help keep our costs low and it offers a way to donate items that might otherwise go to the trash.

Wow! We have an incredible mountain of clothing in our Lost and Found, including some nice warm coats that I'm sure are needed right now...
Please come by the MPR and check out the stage area where the clothes are spread out. We will hold onto the clothing until December 21st, then everything will be donated to charity.

The Parent Teacher Club will meet this upcoming Wednesday, December 12th, at 12:30pm in Room 17. Please join us! We will hear about Mistletoe Mall, the Giving Tree project and the upcoming “Souper” Teacher Luncheon in January.

Mistletoe Mall is in full swing! The students that have shopped already have seemed to have a blast and we are ready for those who are shopping today and tomorrow. Tuesday is the last day of the Mall, and we have Make Up Shopping from 1:00 - 2:00 pm. If your child was absent or forgot their money on shopping day, they are welcome during this time slot. We are closing early today, there will be no open hours or after school hours Monday. Open hours for Tuesday are extended form 2:00 - 5:00 pm. Magnolia student and Cottage Hill siblings are invited to shop during this time.
Still looking for a way to spread some Holiday Joy?
There are still some ornaments on the Giving Tree! Each ornament has a gift request for a boy or girl in our community. Choose an ornament and sign it out, then shop for and wrap the item. Bring it back to the tree with the tag attached so it goes to the right child. The deadline for bringing in wrapped gifts is Tuesday, December 18th. Thank you for your generosity!
A heartfelt THANK YOU to all the families who contributed to the Packs for Paradise effort! Today was our final day to collect backpacks, and in total we collected over 250 packs full of comfort, supplies, and LOVE! As the needs of the Camp Fire community change, we will help in whatever way we can.
